We all remember disco but I always thought it really started in 1977-1978, which was the height of its popularity. It started in 1974. During the late seventies, I remember going with my friends to the roller skating rink "Roller Skates Of America" on Morse Road in Columbus. Things have changed from those days. Now it is a place for Laser Tag.
I recall so many of these songs being played while we skated around to the music. So I guess disco was forty years ago.
Hello Schizz Hope you are having a good day hon, its cold here, snow flurries have fallen along with rain. I know that's nothing compared with what you all have had to deal with a few weeks ago, so I won't complain. Went to my weather spotter class last night. It was a good turnout, I noticed quite a few families there. I couldn't get Carianne to go with me and Jon had to work, so I went alone. Compared to the Weather Spotter SkyWarn class I went to back in 1993, it was 100% more informative and helpful and that in itself was great because it was good then. I had some problems though because my hearing garbled so much of what the instructor said, I was trying to stay awake. Luckily I could read and see enough to understand what they spoke of. So much of my hearing is tone, so many tones I can't make out or hear in general. Back in 1993, much of the information was on Tornadoes and strai...
Boy do I have to make some drastic changes to my diet. I really like my new Doctor at OhioHealth, she is very good and on the button. The good news that I got today was my blood pressure was good, how I did that is beyond me, considering the holiday weight gain..oh yes, very distraught about that, I could kick myself a thousand times over. My blood work came out good, that is a medical wonder. Dr. Barnett put me on a "Dash" diet for hypertension and I am to use my exercise bike for ten minutes a day, low impact . So I am spinning along with you Schizz , so glad I have my own, too self conscious to be in a group. For the shortness of breath and winded, weight or stress of course, she is going to run a stress test on me..otherwise I am due for my mammogram and that darn colonoscopy...don't want that at all..you should hear the horror stories I hear about that, especially from dad, h loves to tell of mom's experience while laughing ...
Knowing that you are all getting a mix of wind, rain and snow , I thought I would share a fact I read OUR DAILY BREAD publication for today's reading that I thought you might enjoy during all this unseemly weather. The New England Primer was published in the late 1600s. Throughout the colonies that would later become the United States, the book became a widely used...
