The Heart's Music Can Heal

                                                       If I could I'd give you a good night's kiss for beautiful dreams tonight.  Hope you had a good day despite all the snow yet again.  We had nasty freezing rain this morning, my son was able to beat it getting to school this morning in the car,  the buses made it in just fine, so my daughter made it ok along with the other students.  So, that was a blessing.  Another round of snow is heading in on Sunday, not looking forward to that.                                                       Think warm thoughts, green grass and colorful spring flowers helps.  I know the only thing really to do in your off time, is to work on your wood crafting huh?                                                       Me, I have been working on my artwork and Avon, although I still get in some floral arranging done to decorate around the house..what a combination of things.   Gosh it was warm just for a moment when it hit forty today, now its ta

                                                             Its real early in the morning I know, Just got everything checked before going to bed.  Checking the door, making sure its locked, everything turned off and such, you know that routine.  I wanted to write you first though to tell you that I am thinking about you and praying things are improving a little up your way.    I hope you aren't doing anything you aren't supposed to.  I know its no fun to dig out from all that snow, just pray you have someone up there who will do that for ya.   I also pray your family are all doing well too!                                                             This week has gone fast it seems because of everything that has happened weather wise, looks like we aren't finished with it though.                                                            Please get some rest, I hope and pray you are staying warm and safe , love you so very much, sweet dreams sweetheart, Hugs and kisses

                                                              Hope and pray things are going as good as they can considering all the snow and wind.  Been very worried, thinking about you and how you and your family are coping throughout the storm.  I got tickled at a reporter covering the snow storm from Boston.  He was commenting how deserted the town was when this guy went past him on some skis, I had to laugh at that.  They tried catching the guy on camera, he was too fast.                                                             I thought that would put a grin on your face.  You have such a wonderful smile and handsome face.   How I miss you so much, I especially miss your loving kindness and sweet charms.                                                                 I did another artwork of a picture I did on your birthday card some years ago.  When I think about it, it warms my heart.  I hope it warms your heart again as it is all for you.  During all of this, I pray it br

                                                             Been thinking about you all day Schizz, I pray all of you get through the storm alright.  We only got a very little taste of what of you are experiencing now.  School today (Monday) was canceled for the kids and Delaware was under a level 1 snow emergency until about noon.                                                         Watching the system go up the coast is something else if not a little frightening, so please be very careful, I know in your line of work, you are probably on call in these weather emergencies.  I will be thinking and praying for you all the while.  Two other systems are due here in Ohio, Thursday and Sunday.  They aren't sure of their strength or track yet.                                                          Hope you have plenty of firewood, supplies and your electric holds out during the wind and snow.  I know sometimes the forecasters can be off, but with the Mayors and Governors taking p

                                                             The last two days had a few bumps, I had taken on a little bit of dad's cold with headache , nausea and fatigue and Daisy had hurt her leg jumping off of the couch, but today she is up to her ornery little doggie self, playing with the cat.  I have also been watching the weather.  Listening to my weather band and watching the weather channel while fixing the meals last couple days.                                                               While we aren't going to be hit too bad under a winter weather advisory,  looks like New York and states east of us including Massachusetts are under a Blizzard Watch for tomorrow evening  into Tuesday.  You probably know, I was concerned for all of you there. Hope and pray everyone gets through it fine, especially you Stephen.  You and your family grew up with all of this stuff I know, all of you are used to it.  Me, I still worry, every storm is different, so please be careful

                                                      Hello Stephen, hope you had a pleasant evening.  I know, I'm writing late again, I'm up doing some laundry.  I know that's odd but my daughter asked me if I could wash something for school for her in the morning.  You know how that goes.  You more than likely have got ready for bed or already in bed.  Hope I didn't disturb ya.   Just wanted to check in and tell you I love you and I am thinking of you and praying everyone is doing fine.  I was working on the house some tonight other than the laundry.                                                    My daughter and I share one bathroom and my son now has the back bathroom to himself.  I think I told you that the theme in it is lighthouses and ships.  I have to finish the decor up.  I had to cut his hair recently for his ROTC.  I bought a new trimmer as the old one is getting worn out.  He likes those buzz-cuts and he is picky about it.                                                           Hope you are getting some rest.  I know its real late, I was working on some notes for my art work.  My memory pattern doesn't take long to get off track, so I have to write or organize some of it before I forget.  I saw Aunt Billie a couple weeks back and she looks real well.  She asked me If I am still doing my artwork.  I said yes.  I haven't felt up to it because of my cold or whatever it is these few weeks, anyway, I don't hardly see her anymore since Uncle Myron retired.                                                          My daughter will be in "The Honor Society" in school next year.  I'm real excited and proud of that, I know you would be too.  It's a first for my family to have someone go into that.  What a blessing that is.  My daughter sure deserves that!                                                         Hope you are nice and snug warmly under your blanket.  It isn't too

                                                    Seems like there is so much going on today in the news.  I heard there was a doctor shot in Boston, that has me worried!  May God keep you safe , everyone in Amesbury and everyone, everywhere who has been shaken up by this.  Worried about you, I wanted to write to check in and give some encouragement in the midst of this sadness.  If you knew who this was, I am sorry and my prayers goes out to the family.  In all of this, smiling is hard to do!                                                    I am praying that you are safe, so please be careful going home today, Always know that I love you so very much SCHIZZ.   My hugs and kisses for you.  I will write you again tonight..                                        I hope this helps to get you through the day, I love You

                                             Sorry I didn't get a chance to write you yesterday, The kids and I went over to my folks to see how everyone was doing since I was feeling better, I still have the stuffiness though and you know me, I was running late like usual and didn't get a chance to get on the computer, felt bad about that. Everyone is doing fine, dad was back in his "Man Cave " watching the football games.  He is feeling better, mom is doing ok, seeing everything that happened last week.  She was sorta upset with "Arbors" in Delaware, because of the care that her friend Carol got before she died.  I will admit, I'm not a nursing home person, everyone that I have known never seem to last in those.  Thank goodness for the people who take the time to care for the people they love at home, like you and mom did.  Wish there were more people around like you, the quality of life would improve greatly for everyone.                             

                                                          I get laughing at Daisy, she is like having a fur ball of pure energy around the house.  She loves to play with the cats and when she gets going, she races around the house like lighting.  I know my grandpa would of loved her, since he loved little dogs, my goodness, Daisy has dad wrapped around her little paw.  My daughter mentioned to me "Mom, I don't think she ever slows down!"                                                          I wish I can say the same, I recently bought a back brace to help me get some work done around the house.  It helps a lot!  Being 48, sure is interesting, my nephew complains how old he is and for those of us who are older....HA! , wish I was 27 again...old my foot..right?     Of course his brother Scott, teases his parents all the time calling them dinosaurs .  Well I don't think we are extinct yet!   I realized that until I found my cold had boomeranged back on me this mornin

                                                  Yesterday I wrote about the story my son had shared about his dad. Hope everyone enjoyed it, I wanted give some comfort for all your family and especially you Schizz, I know you have times when you share moments like that when you and your family get together and talk about those precious ones all of you loss, especially your mom and dad.  Sorry if it seemed a little impersonal sounding, didn't mean that to come off that way, I thought about how I wrote it.  I have been feeling down these few days since Doris died, my great aunt Wanda isn't doing good either.  Funny how it always comes in threes.  Pat wrote me and told me that her neighbor's grandson had rented my old house  for a  year.  I wish that didn't bother me, don't really know why, only that it just brings memories back.  The kids and I  think about you a great deal, my son tells me how much that Firebird you drove was an awesome car for a Chevy ..Pontiac, m

                                      January sure is making up for the snow missed here in December..we have another storm system coming in on Monday.   Freezing rain and snow.  Be prepared Stephen, you know how these systems hit or miss New England.  I think the older I get, the less tolerant I am to all of it..I have said it once before, no wonder grandpa Havens went to Florida after Christmas, thing is Florida isn't much better than we are really.     Oh well, how about Hawaii ..now that sounds great.  I know when I was a kid, snow was fun, building forts and having snow ball fights, or sledding.  All that was nice.  Now , we won't go there, If I went sledding, I would be in a full body cast.                                       I never went skiing in my life, that would be an experience.  Anyway, hope and pray your family are all keeping well and safe.  Most of all you, There is only one of you, so you got to take care of yourself.  Best thing is to stay home and keep wa

                                        Hope you are keeping warm today, gosh it sure seems like a repeat of last year.  The sun is out but it is cold.                                        My backache finally subsided, So I thought I'd write before it started again.  I am sorry I didn't write yesterday.  I really felt poorly.  I looked like a ghost even more pale than usual.  Today , my color did return.  I decided to make the kids and I some homemade chicken soup..well homemade from ingredients I got from the store anyway.  I tried out my new crock-pot I got with a Kohl's gift card that the school gave me, works fine.    Hope and pray you and your family has been keeping warm and healthy...SCHIZZ...  The kids got another day off from school because the temperatures were almost -30 with the windchill.   My son has been driving to school this week ,I've been biting my nails over him because of the weather.  So about 6:45am this morning I'll be fretting again that he'll get to school ok.                                     East of Columbus, a car went off a bridge and into a pond, they couldn't find the c

                                                   Hello my dear Stephen, I know its in the very early morning again and I have probably awakened you...if I haven't hope you are getting a good night's rest.  The kids got their snow day and it is very cold.  I spent all day sick, tired with a back ache..as strange as it sounds I have rested most of the day and I still tired and ready to go to bed.  Chill in the air always put an ache in my bones as it does for many.  Hate to tell you this but I put all kinds of layers on because I am cold...sorry..                                                 Pray you are doing ok and your family is well too.  I know its cold in Massachusetts as well.  So like I said late last night, please keep warm and don't stress yourself ok?  I know that is easier said and done.  last Sunday my daughter and her friend drug me out to Easton to the Foot Locker.  My daughter got a gift certificate from there and Easton was the closest.

                                                The kids start back to school tomorrow from their break.  Come tomorrow night into Tuesday, we are under a Winter Storm Watch for snow and very cold temps.                                                       First weekend in the new year is a gloomy one thus far, how is yours SCHIZZ?  Next week it is turning colder to the negative digits,so here we go again huh?   Hope and pray you are keeping yourself well and healthy, knowing you, I'm sure you are.                                                        Hello Stephen , hope and pray your year is starting off well and your day is good.  I imagine the flu is making its nasty rounds in your area too.  The kids and I had a very nice visit with my folks got to see my sister and her son..Scott.  We watched the bowl games with my dad.  Ohio State was in the Sugar Bowl playing Alabama , State barely pulled it out.  My mom was getting too worked up every time Ohio State suffered Alabama's rough playing.  Good thing we all went home and she went to bed...dad was sure teasing her though.                                                       You be careful going home from the office, I am sure its starting to remain lighter in the evening there too but still be cautious on your way home...Love you so much SCHIZZ, A big hug and kiss when you get back home!
