In The Blood As Well

My love for music I think began even before I was born.  A few of my ancestors had a deep affection for music.  My grandmother I was told sang on the radio as her younger brother and sister played guitar.    My dad played guitar in a band they called "The Silver Valley Rangers" tragically some of the band members were killed in a horrific car accident on the old state route 23 in Delaware,Ohio, now called Havens Road named after my great uncle who lived in a house there at the time of the head-on collision. In my opinion, my aunts and my mother all have beautiful voices, as a little girl I remember placing on an album of hymns by "Tennessee Ernie Ford" and she would sing along with it.  I really enjoyed it when she did that.   I love to sing and so I joined Choir in high school and in Church.  I always sing in my car and I am sure I get funny looks from other drivers.  I have seen drivers like myself and I have to laugh at the sight of  a person at a red light, mou

What A Blessing

Have you ever had "One Of Those Days" that no matter what you think is right, always goes wrong somehow.  Another kick in the "you know where or in the you know what ".   Maybe you are just feeling down, blue or depressed.  Put some music on .  The Beatles said it best "HELP ME!"  Typically, when I have felt so sad I walk over to my multi-function stereo,turn on my record player,tape or in recent years Cd's, and play something corresponding with my mood.  Those who know me best, know I'm a big "Boston" fan.  Many years I have tortured my mom and dad with their rock music( My Poor Worn Out Albums Are Falling Apart......AHH!) because they enjoy country music.  However, I did hear my father one time sing along with "More Than A feeling" hey, why not, there's something about the acoustic guitar and the way Brad Delp sang it, it just made you feel good like someone commented once about it, "It makes you want to stick your h
