The Heart's Music Can Heal

Yesterday was a very hard day. My daughter-in-law took Patch and I down to the emergency animal hospital in Delaware because my kitty wasn't doing very well. Earlier this week, my kitty Patch had slowly not eaten since Monday. For the last four months his weight had dropped, even though he was eating very good. I tried in vain with different methods of bulking him up. Even his water intake was normal an d his stools looked healthy. So wasn't overly concerned because his was an old kitty. This week changed, he decreased his eating and drinking habits and his skin started to turn yellow, almost indicating liver failure. Through it all, he remain his loving self. These past two months has be awful, just on January 3rd , my beloved little dog, Scooter died at the age of 12 from congestive heart failure. Now almost to the date, I had to make the tough decision of putting Patch to sleep so he wouldn't be suffering in his last days. It has always been such a tough thin

First before I get started on my Blog today, I want to thank those who take the time to read my post, that means so much to me knowing that. This is another difficult post for me because it is recalling a very painful part of my life. Many doctors out there will tell a patient that severe depression is passed down from their ancestors, in other words, someone in a person's past has suffered from this debiliating illness. I haven't talked too much about my depression and anxiety. I will be truthful, I still don't understand all of it and for many years I couldn't. The best I knew was that it was a chemical imbalance The link that I could possibily think of that the depression came from my mom's side. The start of severe weather season is starting to peak. Today they are stating that we are under a slight risk for nasty storms especially for the southern part of Ohio. Normally I would wait to post a historic event on the day of that it occured, but anymore, Im getting into the habit of posting when I am thinking about it. I was only 7 years old in the spring of 1974. I have very few memories of tragic events that happened around the ohio area during those young years. I remember the deaths of people close to me when I was young, which is not surprising. especially my grandma, who was my namesake and who I shared a birthday with coming two months early. In 1974, my granmother suffered a stroke that rendered her paralized and unable to talk. She passed away from Cancer on March 20, 1976. Back in 1994, My late husband and I went to Cleveland, Ohio to see Billy Graham at the old Cleveland Stadium. I have always got strength and a deeper walk with Jesus Christ through Billy Grahams sermons. Both My late husband Jeff Hutchison and I turned our lives over to Christ because of this crusade. From time to time whenever I feel away from Gods side, I always go back to watch this crusade on youTube. I also posted the songs that were sang at the many days from this crusade. First time I heard Damaris Carbough was back in 1994, for a long time I looked for her christian music. I found just a month ago. It brought me to tears as I heard it again. Some song just have the power to bring a person back to the one that loves us the most.

I haven't been posting too much over the past few years because of my health fighting with depression and anxiety. Its tough going through anxiety, if you battling anxiety and depression. It is my hope that these blogs are helpful. For me especially, listening to music is comforting. I love classsic rock and pop.
