     Has been crazy the last two weeks with crafting, art, birthday parties and slime events.     Got some wonderful people working with me, my supervisor is like an older sister at work , looking after me, she's like Vickie and Jennie rolled into one, Jenn's age actually.      She and her husband live on Troy Rd , really close to the hospital.     Anyway, it's decorating time of year, folks getting their home done for Thanksgiving guests .      We have one display for Thanksgiving, while the rest is Christmas.      It's going to be like this until Christmas, so I'm getting more house, which is cool, especially Kids Club, after all, Christmas is for kids of all ages.     Thinking about all of you, Love & prayers to everyone!

     Hope everyone is doing fine , my thoughts are with you.       I haven't said much about Tom Petty's passing.        I have one favorite of his songs ,stuck in my mind, I forgotten about until I heard it on on my way to work this morning.     So, just wanted to stop and remember him.    Most importantly, Thinking of everyone.     How Lucky I Am

   Just worried how all of you in Massachusetts after all those storms went through.    Especially Amesbury where you are Stephen.     Do pray all is OK and everyone is fine.      The flu here seems to have blown through without too much damage.   As far as the weather, so gloomy the last three days.  Cold enough to cause a little snow.     Starting getting my woodworking area organized.     Balancing that with doing my artwork, got four to finish up.       Thinking about you and wish I could hear more from you, but I know you are a busy man.        You are doing a great job!       Hello Stephen,   Hope this blog finds you doing well and all the family well too.      How this month has flown by, because of work, which is cool.  Enjoying it better every day.    I had a few days off , so I  wanted to write you.     Got to see mom, dad ,my sister and Aunt Billie yesterday.      Jon had to work , Carianne came with me.     We were all sitting on porch enjoying the weather talking about all the strange things going on in today's society.     Mainly some of places people get piercings.      Hard to believe how people manipulate their bodies, especially in private areas.       Carianne mentioned she seen it on TV that some women do "Vagazzeling"      Think Be Dazzled was good enough.   This is beyond belief.        It sounds unnatural, sounds unsanitary and above all, sounds painful.   Guess it isn't..just sounds like a lady got bored one day and decided to do this... Why?          The Good Lord must be shaking his head.     I

     Hi Stephen                 Hope and pray you and everyone are fine.                Been working more hours.  Tonight I had to paint Halloween ornaments by Grumbacher.  I did finally make a wooden ornament.  I broke the blade on my scroll saw, dad thought I might have forced the wood against the blade.   Got some more wood tonight , just need to get some blades at Home Depot tomorrow.    I have to paint the rest of my project, so I can share a picture of it.     I got quizzed by dad yesterday about my wood working progress yesterday.    Carianne had to get some orders for her band fundraiser.     Aunt Billie was over there and seemed in a great mood.    Rotten as usual.   She told a story on you among some of the stories she was recalling.   Which a couple were kinda questionable according to mom, one just weird.   The story she was telling about you was that      She made a comment while she was talking to you, asking      " Why is it that when a person comes in

     I didn't forget a very important Birthday today.       Its kinda neat to have the same birthday as John Lennon BUT I never met John Lennon.       So my favourite celebrity , isn't a song writer,movie star or popular athlete.        He's famous for being helper among men , healer among the masses in his own home town and in this part of Ohio...I know New York too.       Happy Birthday Stephen.       Sorry I haven't written in a while, I still am battling a darn cold, this one, like most of the ones I get, has affected my sinuses.     Been working through it the last two days when on top of my kids classes , I got to teach floral design, Saturday for a wreath, and yesterday for a pumpkin.    It was great!      Feeling better today than I have been.  Up and doing my artwork getting close to finishing two pieces for which I'm glad,      I get sketching some when I have an Ideal, then can't wait to get started on them when I realize I have some paintings to finish.     Its a common habit of mine.     Still have to get the wood to start on my ornaments, dad keeps asking about that and more than likely won't stop until I produce some.     Been thinking about you too Stephen and how everything is, mainly how ya doing in the world of SCHIZZ, as you call yourself,  I know I'm pretty vague about coming out and saying your full name but you know.     Hope and pray all is ok.        This is the reason why I don't want a colonoscopy.  Many , many horror stories, boy do I hate getting older.      Oh what joy this is   I know this is for our health..seriously, but it's nice to chuckle at things.     I wonder though if the doctors and nurses laugh at you when you're not looking.     Literally a windy day.

     When I was young , I still had my grandma Havens and my great grandma McDonnell.       My great grandpa McDonnell died before I was born.  My mom was a teenager then.       So my great grandma had been a widow for many years by the time I was a youngster.      I can remember visiting her house on 521, it was a pretty modest home but she always keep the front room sealed off as if there was a part of her that she had hidden away.     My husband died in 2007 and I never remarried, the last couple of years, seeking romance seemed to have dwindled til it just seems like it has vanished from within myself.   I thought about great grandma old house and how it's similar to what I am feeling now.    It's like five rooms remain open in how I relate to people, The mom room The sister room The aunt room The daughter room And finally , The cousin room. I guess my work being outside , would be in comparison to a Co worker garage.   But all the other relationships are just

     Sending a prayer on this beautiful Sunday morning that everyone is doing fine.  Especially for you Stephen.       What a week, busy helping my neighbor, I fell on the pavement going around my car...ugh, embarrassing.    Now I am sore and walking like a zombie from one of those old horror movies..     Been slow at work, so I got certified to teach watercolor.      Hi Stephen,             Wanted to write and see how you all were doing and you were.  Been thinking about you much more than I usually do.  Just concerned about you.              Didn't get to watch the eclipse, it was too cloudy here in Central Ohio, plus I had a annoying headache all day, just stayed in my right temple.              Hope and pray things are good, things here are the same as they normally are, can't complain today..lol              Trying to sort out all my artwork that needs done ..yet again and ones I want to do over again, sometimes I'm not too happy with some, so I put the picture up for awhile and then look at it again .  I get better ideals.             I am still trying to perfect my wood working skills and getting wood accumulated to actually do some damage.  I'm not as good as you or dad though, compared to what you guys have done..I make yuk!            Hours have slowed down at work so I am taking the time to get things done arou

  I remember today forty years ago enjoying the last two weeks of Summer Vacation, I was only ten.   I always carried my little transistor radio with me on my bike or just playing around the yard.   It was a day similar to today with the sun shining when the Broadcast on the radio was interrupted by the news that Elvis had died.   What a shock it was, we kids grew up with him and his music. We even stayed up to watch his concert from Hawaii via satellite in 1973.   Hard to believe now it's been forty years.   Still love his songs and watching the old films.   He left a great legacy that still goes on today.

   Don't know why I am thinking back so much in my memory, but I remembered that Aunt Billie mentioned that the song "Wichita Lineman" was a song grandpa used to tell grandma "Just to think about the song while he was working'' As strange as it is considering I was only about five or six, but I remembered that he did say that.   My grandma Sarah Havens was off and on ill during those years and grandpa told her that to ease her worried mind.   My grandpa Havens worked for the phone company as a lineman.    In my memory, those days were always sunny.      Hi Stephen,hope you enjoyed this little story for the day and that it's going good for you and everyone.    Tonight this is playing through my mind.   I know there are different singers who recorded this song, but for me, this is the singer who made the memories

    Growing up in Delaware County in my childhood basically was living in the country.   When I was little, my sisters, my brother and I would every Saturday night have our baths then gather in the living room with my folks to watch "Hee Haw"a country music hour variety show that started in the late sixties and ran into the early nineties.     It usually was followed by "EMERGENCY".      My favorite person on Hee Haw was Roy Clark,     He was always so light hearted and could make me laugh.    When he was serious, he was. Anyway, I think all of us enjoyed the show because every once in a while there would be cartoon dancing pigs go across the screen when either Roy Clark or Buck Owens would play.    Just yesterday I found a few segments on YouTube and played it for the kids.   They would smile, me I'd be laughing at it, mostly because it brought back some memories of my childhood gone by, how I enjoyed it.   Especially after 25 kids for Slime Sunday :)

      Sitting out on the porch with mom, dad, Carianne , my nephew Scott and my Aunt Billie, everyone shared stories to one another.      Every once in a while a very special Doctors name comes up and how he solved a health problem with great success.    Here recently, he has been referred to as "Old Doc Schissel".    My question is why is why the usage of "Old"?     I never thought of this wonderful man as that,especially when he is my cousin's age.     I kinda looked at my Aunt with puzzlement, then looked away thinking to myself as my aunt went on with her story.      In a way the term sounds like a show of respect, beloved and nostalgic in a legendary way.      Old Doc Schissel is just a great man, I'm not sure if he sees himself that way, but many do.     I know I do.        Hey Schizz, you are still young in my eyes,you know, thinking about you Love and prayers to everyone.   Hello to everyone,especially Stephen.  Hope all of you have been enjoying the beautiful weather.  At least I pray it's beautiful on the East Coast.     I like to close my eyes sometimes and think how lovely the ocean is against the shore line up there.     The cool breeze here has been amazing, so it probably is great up there.      Have today off and trying to fix things around the house.   Hi Stephen     Hope you and your family are doing good and enjoying the summer, I see the bicycling all over Delaware because of Iron Man , I always think of you especially now..:)   Today was the last day of Camp Creativity at Michael's, and it went well, glad it was a good day , its now back to my classes and KIDS CLUB on Saturdays.  Sure could use some good things to end this month, not sad however to see it go, on top of three local High School Seniors being killed, two by a car accident on Africa Rd, the other I am sure you have heard was killed on a ride at The Ohio State Fair called "The Fireball". My prayer goes out to all the families. Dutch was a cat I gave to my parents and my sister when I moved to Delaware and the kids and I first came down here. Its a long, gruesome story, but Dutch was fifteen years old , my parents neighbors dog came over running with another dog.  They cornered Dutch and another kitty of my sisters.      As dad was recalling memories of us kids , he told of the car he had picked me up from Children's Hospital.    I was born jaundice and premature, delivered by my grandma Sarah Havens.   Both mom and I were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, know then as Jane Case.   I wasn't getting better, losing weight and dehydrated, they had to transfer me to Children's.   After fluids and a blood transfusion, I improved.   My dad worked at Gene David Buick at the time.    The car my parents had, the heater went out, this was in December, I was born in November of course, so Gene David allowed my dad and my mom to pick me up in the new year Buick Wild Cat.    Gosh, no wonder I love coolest cars..lol.      Hi Stephen, hope and pray you are doing fine and all the family is ok.   Thinking about you Love and prayers to you and everyone.   Just this past fourth of July, mom and I were talking about who dad had met who were famous people.   Like mom said, dad has had a interesting life. Back in the 1950's it seemed like dad met several now legendary folks.    I have heard him tell about "Grandpa Jones" he got acquainted with down in West Virginia. Grandpa Jones is a name that is recognized with the family show Hee-Haw.    During his time in the service, he went to a party for Debra  Paget " Lillian The Water Girl" from The Ten Commandments" Met her.       As mom and I were talking, mom mentioned that dad also met Fess Parker during his time stationed in Kentucky.    Dad started to tell the story about how during the filming of Davy Crockett, whom Fess Parker was portraying,  they were shooting the Ohio river.     The scene was to pick up with a Native American jumping from a tree into a canoe.    Sounds easy enough, however not if the actor playing the Native American had a wee too m

  Had a nice fourth with the family, of course it was a four day weekend.   Been slow at work, but that wasn't what bothers me.   My Aunt Billie was out at my parents house the past two weekends to work on family reunion invitations.     She started a heated debate with my sister and then started on me with politics too.    I'm not as sharp as my sister, she has a wonderful memory about history than me, so needless to say, I failed miserably.   My biggest trouble is I can't express myself very well vocally, more so when I'm upset.   No big deal and no worries, however, I asked mom what was with Aunt Billie anyway.   Mom stated that she does the same with her and my Aunt Janet.   Last time at the Cracker Barrel. Mom usually let's her just blow off.   I guess Aunt Billie started fireworks of her own. Lol.

  Have a smile, will travel.  Wouldn't that be a great motto.   Especially on days where you feel the lowest and loneliest.    I love reading your Blogs Stephen because they bring me a smile.    I was feeling more and more discouraged as the years have gone by.    It's amazing what a few words can do to the soul.    I know while I've been working, uts improved my day.    I have had sea theme for kids "Camp Creativity" Specifically "Dory & Nemo"   I remember watching "Finding Nemo" with the kids while waiting to see you.   Time sure has gone by. I glad that both of us has been able to be blessed with having our dreams come true through God's plan.    It's very nice to have those around us that encourage.    You have been so good at encouraging me.    My hope has been that I have done the same for you SCHIZZ.      Very warm, been in the nineties or near nineties all week.   Near the end of the weekend a cold front, storms and then cooler weather.    Despite the warm weather here,in Boston, Massachusetts, probably all of Massachusetts, it's in the fifties right now.    If I could, I'd make a fair trade off of a little of each.  That would be even.    I'm in a pretty good mood, I heard from someone I'd been missing so much.  I discovered the message was written a month ago , just found it.    It was a lovely story.   It was sure nice Love and prayers to everyone! -Sally

   You know it's Summer when ALL those darn orange vest and barrels come out.     I often wonder how those folks stand it when it gets into the nineties? I suppose they get used to it but as a driver it's so frustrating..ugh    Took me a good forty five minutes to get back home from doing "Camp Creativity" at Michael's which only usually takes about fifteen minutes, Oh well, As a kid, I don't remember seeing those endless bouts with road construction but I do remember the detours.    They are another story,forbid if you were going to a special occasion out of the realm of comfort.   Summer, My favorite memories involve the radio, riding bikes and going to the beach.  There are quite a lot of love songs as early as the human race has been able to play an instrument or simply sing.    So many , too many to count on here, I thought I'd take another approach at looking at these songs by the perspective of a woman.  Not odd ,I know but , I think men have worked so hard to understand us, it's kinda of a puzzle for me to boil down my explanation to them.  Well one in particular, he knows because he was once on here, and for those like him.    People in general are different, once paired,the same, meaning that well, different but same.   Just four days away from Jonathan's graduation Party, I'm thinking about the ceremony again.    Hard to believe still after going through it all, my sisters started me crying a little here and there as it came closer, but what really made it surreal was hearing his name called.  I taped it on my phone, when my sister let out a cheer, I put it down and clapped.   So proud, I know during his party Saturday, I will shed some more proud tears.    Here's hoping and praying that your days are filled with happiness too!   Hope and pray everyone is doing fine.  Wanted to share some pictures taken out at my mom and dads . My son Jonathan dawned his graduation garb to have again so my dad , his sister Carianne and his cousin could have their pictures taken with him. My dad couldn't make it because of his health difficulties. My daughter had to sing and play in the band during the graduation ceremony. My nephew Scott had to be in a friend's wedding.   My sisters and I had to do some landscaping yesterday too.    It was a wonderful day, my dad and mom were so happy we all were there, so blessed to have all of them.

    The weather cleared today,the good lord blessed us with a beautiful sky to work on mom and dads landscaping.     My nephew Randy, my sisters ,the kids and I made a perfect team as mom and dad advised us.      The old homestead sure is looking nice.    I am so appreciative that everyone is doing this for Jonathan.    Love my family very much, such a wonderful gift to have.    Hope and pray Stephen that everyone is well and you are fine, I haven't forgotten all of you, just been extremely busy and overly tired.  Have a glorious memorial weekend,my respect to all your family members who are no longer with you all.    My love and prayers are with you all! -Sally

   Hello Stephen, hope and pray you are doing fine and all the family is well.  Been warm here in Ohio, this has been a strange year with the weather.    Jonathan is an official Olentangy Graduate, so now he's got to go through his graduation ceremony and his party.    I knew he could do it, couldn't be any prouder of him. Yesterday  Three people signed up to take my drawing class but no one showed up.  That was a big disappointment.   Been feeling a little down on myself, my family has been coming down hard on me. Basically, you use Elmer's glue to draw out a design on canvas. Then like using glitter, you use table salt and cover the glue.    Taking Watercolor paint, very diluted, you touch the paint to the salt and like magic, the color spreads.   Even though nobody signed up, I used what was in the classroom cabinet and did the project. I was kinda curious on how it turned out.    It's pretty neat, I did a couple of butterflies with some flowers.    Well pleasant dreams love, may you have a wonderful day! Sally

    Feeling a little less blue today, everyone seems to be ok, dad and mom had to go Sunday to his friend Calvin's memorial service.  Hope and pray all the family is well and staying safe as I pray you are Stephen.    Always think about you and wondering how you are getting along but as mom puts it, " no news is good news but still I worry."    Been working about five days a week at Michael's, funny no one comes in for the classes I like to do.  Yesterday for example, It was " Making mom a card for mother's day " project by using watercolors and flower embellishments, but no one showed up, so I drew out the card with my watercolor pencils.    Last time nobody came in to class, they decided to train me on register..oh mercy.. its been about thirty years since I did that.  The girl who was training me is supper nice, she keeps telling me I'm doing ok and will be just fine.   A customer wished me luck, I told her "I'm going to need it"

    Everything seems ok but just feel down, so what do I feel like doing when I don't feel like talking but feel like crying?    I head off to sleep.       What a week, I think the sun came out for a moment one day.     The rain came down heavy tonight and the wind was strong.      I had a total of two people come in for classes to make crafts for Mothers Day.       Coming home I saw a sheriff's car and E M S squad at Mary's house and her being carried out on a gurney.        Not sure what happened.     Hope and pray everyone is doing ok and enjoying the weather.  Well hope it's nice in New England,Stephen.    Most of all pray you are doing fine, Stephen.    Had to do a Slime Bar yesterday and a birthday party.     Slime is the "thing" popular with kids nowadays.  Not bad, except the glitter they use to decorate it.  It goes everywhere. I came home, yet again with it all over myself.
