Forty Years Ago Today, We Said Goodbye To The King Of Rock N Roll

I remember today forty years ago enjoying the last two weeks of Summer Vacation, I was only ten.
I always carried my little transistor radio with me on my bike or just playing around the yard.
It was a day similar to today with the sun shining when the Broadcast on the radio was interrupted by the news that Elvis had died.
What a shock it was, we kids grew up with him and his music.
We even stayed up to watch his concert from Hawaii via satellite in 1973.
Hard to believe now it's been forty years.
Still love his songs and watching the old films.
He left a great legacy that still goes on today.
