Precious Time!
Going through the day, sometimes means you watch the clock, especially if you are in a hurry or on a schedule. Most of us are and having two teenagers who are active in school, time becomes a precious thing. By the weeks end this past week, I was so tired. My daughter had two of her friends over to spend time with her and all three girls decided to walk on Alum Creek.
I soon discovered what the difference was between a 47 year old woman and 13 year old girls...oh about 1/2 mile to a mile ahead. Gosh did I feel old. The steps up to the Dam are really exhausting. Now, I see many athletic people go up and down those steps like nothing doing. Me , I have to stop and catch my breath every other flight. Out of shape, is an understatement, even though I have been losing weight, I still get winded on those steps.
The girls went up them without any problem and waited for me with the ..ho-hum expression on their faces..oh well.
Then we started walking and the faster I walked ,it seemed they got further ahead without any effort, me I was pushing myself. My daughter, eventually told me "Mom, we'll meet you at the car."
We had a good time, they are a couple of very nice girls, ornery and hyper maybe, to me anyway, but what do you expect from an old 47 year old...right..according to their standards.
Schizz, he walks a lot, and he is ten years and one month older than me and I am sure could do circles around me...I think he's much more healthier than I...he's just wonderful healthy, handsome guy...You can tell I am very partial..!
We got home and I sat down and didn't move, its so funny that my body and my brain are almost at odds with each other...my brain is like..."Oh you can do all this walking and climbing...no problem!" My body is like "What are you kidding me..just how young do you think I am..?"
I discovered that time had just got ahead of me too and soon it was time to go to bed...ah yes a hot bath and I was ready to get a good nights sleep. That's the only real good thing about having the bed to yourself, when you are sore, just a touch is too painful. By morning I was stiff and walking like a mummy.
Just to find time with two teenagers is precious and I always want to let Sir Anthony S. of Amesbury, MA know that I am thinking about him too and that his time is precious, so I want to make time for him.
I talk about him a lot, I know but I care about him and love him a lot too.I think his family is a wonderful! It is so nice to find families that care for one another like they do. My family is considered different because we are so close, there isn't anything wrong with that, it is a shame that there isn't more families out there like that. All and all, Precious time and loving families go hand and hand!
