Thank You Lord For The Prayer Warriors
With the election behind us, many prayers are said that President Elect Trump with be guided by God's almighty hand. Please let there be peace within the hearts of Americans, let us heal finally from all the negativity.
I want to thank you Stephen for keeping my family in your prayers. Still waiting to hear the results of moms ultrasound on her leg. I am thankful that her doctor got her in Monday. I c an feel your prayers Schizz lift us up.
It reminds me of the story of General George Patton's famous weather prayer.
The prayer was written by Third Army Chaplain Msgr. Col James H. O'Neil .
Patton Stated
" We must do something about these rains if we are to win the war. We've got to get not only the chaplains but every man in the Third Army to pray. We must ask God to stop these rains. These rains are the margin that holds victory or defeat."
The prayer was composed by O'Neil.
Even Patton wrote two other prayers.
When the bad weather temporarily ended, Patton exulted "...Get him up here, I want to pin a medal on him."
When summoned , Patton awarded O Neil The Bronze Star becoming the only US Army Chaplain ever decorated as such.
" Chaplain " Patton stated " you're the most popular man in this headquarters. You sure in good with the Lord and soldiers."
I know it's a far cry from what we are , being a General or Chaplain but I truly feel blessed with you on my side Stephen, "Schizz" All of you are in my prayers, especially you Stephen. Thank you so much, I Love you very much!
