Knew It Was Coming
Had a real nice day yesterday with Vickie, Jennie, Mom, Dad, Randy, Julie, Brendan, Scott and of course my two Carianne and Jon.
The breeze was blowing and it really felt good to have a cooler day for a change. Today was sorta warm and tomorrow will be warmer yet with it reaching almost ninety. So glad to hear its cooling off for the weekend and most of the week next week.
As it was, it was sunny and everyone seemed to be in a good mood, except dad. He spend some time by himself and talked to us but he wasn't himself. You know my dad Stephen, always has a smile and a joke at the ready, maybe his infamous terms for things at the tip of his tongue you know.
Finally, I asked mom why he seemed off.
For one, she said, for the last two weeks has been suffering with a "pinched" nerve, they have a better term for it as you know. Its making it even harder for him to walk. If I could ask if you could keep him in your prayers as well as my mom, I appreciate it and say thank you so much.
for my brother is selling his house and I am sure its too high for any of us to afford, so again grandpa's dream of keeping land in the family has lost another two acres. My dad found this out only because he seen my brother out behind his shed and decided to take his lawn mower across the field (Not taking their driveway as he had done so many times before) my guess he did that because dad didn't want my brother's wife or grandsons to see him afraid of the consequences it might have induced. Somehow it didn't surprise anyone, I think we all knew it was coming.
I remember when grandpa passed away, how it effected all of us, that feeling came back briefly. It did because two pieces of farm equipment that dad and my sister had bought from the estate resides at my brothers house. Dad had my brother promise it will stay in the family...my brother promised.. somehow deep inside I don't believe my brother..he has made so many promises to my parents only to never keep them..case in point, the land mom and dad gave him to build on. It hurts both of my parents and mom broke down in tears twice yesterday, the main reason being the way my brother and his families actions these past years. I guess since the beginning, his wife hated us enough to finally find a way to break the ties completely now, hope she is proud and happy of herself, She got what she wanted.
At this point, for me, I have conceded to the fact that I just have this little group of people in my family, my sisters, her family, my parents,my aunts and uncles, their families, my kids and most of all,you that care and know what is important ,in whom I can talk too. Blessed to have you all in my life. Thank you for being there always.
Hope and pray all of you had a good day yesterday, was thinking about you, Aunt Billie was over at my folks yesterday too and was thinking about you too!
Almost bet you were busy today, seems that way after a holiday weekend huh!
Love and miss ya, hello to everyone. Love you so very much Schizz, please keep taking care of yourself and everyone..mainly you!!!
I didn't get any pictures yesterday, but we had lots of goodies, mainly, mushrooms, green beans and shrimp and cod..it was great!
