Wanted To Check In, While Fighting To Get Better
Was really sicker today than the past few days, but trying not to push myself too hard, with teenagers, that is a complicated task. To try is sorta difficult when my stomach feels like a yo-yo and my head is spinning. Been bundled up and chilling. What ever it is, its holding on tightly to me.
I sat up a little and watched "The War" by Ken Burns, I borrowed from the library. I still have three DVDs to go from six. It is really good. It, like "The Civil War" also by Burns as you know, keeps your interest. I thought of your dad Schizz as the talked about the pacific conflict. Wonder if your dad was in some of the old clips of the naval battles and footage. I know that is one in a million chance but its nice to think of him there anyway, along with Uncle John, Uncle Frank and one the Hutchison's side Arlene's brother Herb, even though they were in different branches, it was the same Pacific War, all honored you know.
Before they got into the story surrounding the invasion of Normandy, they showed some random old home movies from that period and played this song.
I really thought it was good and thought of you because its been a long time since I seen you.
Hope that brings a smile to your face as we head into weather this weekend and that I do think about and miss you so much. Just enjoying being by your side is a thought I treasure constantly. Pray you are well and your family is ok too.
Please take care of yourself, stay safe and warm, I love you Stephen Anthony
