It's Friday, Hope You Are Having A Good Day Stephen And Keeping Warm And Safe!

I have spent most of my day layered in clothing and piled underneath a bunch of blankets .  Can't do much, so I'm braving it, can't stand to be doing nothing, I'm doing my art and Avon.  Spent most of the day building my Facebook Art Page, in between the computer giving me some problems.
Again, I have managed to catch another cold, go figure right with the temps going up and down from negative to forty, forty to negative, sure hope you are staying well.  I know all of you are getting the blasts of cold air in New England.  So I pray you are taking care of yourself and all your family are staying well too!
I finally fell asleep last night at a normal time, instead of being wide awake in the wee hours.  I imagined being huddled up with you, content, safe and warm in your arms.  That helped a lot !!!!   I fight bouts of insomnia, and crying jags ,that isn't fun, but all and all, I am doing well I believe and pray you are too.
I wanted to share a little of some of the history of my art beginnings since you have been my biggest and foremost inspiration getting back into my talent.  Recently, I came across the painting of "Christ In The Garden ".  My mom had a small picture of that which my sisters and I kept in our room.  Mom ask me once to see if I could paint it out in a larger format.  I guess I must have been about 16 - 17 years old.
I remember I painted it using (chalk) pastel.  At the time, pencil and pastel was about the only mediums I used.  The size was 16 x 20 pastel paper using a 5 x 7 picture, it took all night, but I got it done.  Mom framed it and for years it was displayed in the living room.  Well until another painting took its place, I kinda feel honored and humbled, that my parents always put portraits I have done over the years on the same wall.  Today the portrait I did of them for their fiftieth wedding anniversary hangs there.  It all started with the pastel portrait of Christ, praying in the garden.  And over the years, I have done the same painting twice over, one for my friend from High school to my late husband Jeffs' folks, the first Christmas we were together, in fact, Pat still has it hanging up.  I had forgotten all about til I saw it this year when the kids and I went up there to see her.
Like I said, I forgot, all about that work of art, ironically, I don't have a picture of the duplicated work of art I did in pastel, just the photograph of the original picture.  That is ok , the original artist and original work is always the best!
You have a good rest of the day at the office, Schizz, be careful going home with the frigid  cold, wind, snow and ice. Get home, stay warm and safe, drink a hot cup of coffee, eat a hot meal and stay warm.  I always worry about you and if you are ok.  I love you so very much Stephen, so true and so strong.  All my love, hugs and kisses!!!!!!!!!!!!
