Sending Some Encouragement To You During The Day!!
All bundled up again today seeing that its a whopping 12 degrees. I think I am getting too sensitive to the cold because I took dinner out of the oven and stood there with the oven door open for a while. Brrrrrr, Brrrrrr, Brrrrrrr and dang it, I hate the cold.
The last couple days, I have been in the kitchen fixing home cooked meals, the kids are enjoying them more now then they did when they were younger. Another project I did was juice 19 large grapefruits. I ended up taking a box of grapefruit from "People In Need" because I was the last person that day and said I would. Boy was that wonderful, so I shared it with my family and ended up taking the rest back with me and juiced them. Got two pitchers full of juice, so I put it in my ice tea I drink everyday.
So the tally of my kitchen work the last two days were, BBQ grilled chicken pizza, for my daughter, beef and mushroom stew in the Croc-pot, for me and Mexican Lasagna for my son. I cheated though on that because I found it already prepared in the store and it looked pretty good. Basically all it is , nachos and tacos together between lasagna noodles. Pretty good. I just can't eat too much of it because it rakes havoc on my digestion, so I just let my kids have it.
" People In Need " are a great organization , I really like the people there, especially Lula. Bless her heart, she's got to be in her eighties, tough with a heart gold. I hope when I get to be her age I look as good as her, she's awesome! She's like having a grandmother again.
I tell my sister, I look at mom and dad as always being young, so it just doesn't seem like they are eighty and seventy eight.
Speaking of an awesome and wonderful person, you sure have been. I know I sound like a broken record but in my world, I pretty well believe there isn't a man that comes close to you. I always feel I can be myself and I can talk to you about anything, you just bring out all the good in me.
You will always be my special New Englander that I have longed for ever since I can remember. I wanted to share a favorite passage with you today to give you a grand smile and warm your heart. You be careful going home tonight. I am working on something special for you tomorrow, its good, I promise, stay warm, love you so very much Stephen!
